Armanini, Penelec to Talk Electricity Reliability

October 7, 2026

HARRISBURG – Planning and reliability engineers from Penelec will meet with residents of the Kiwanis Trail and Treasure Lake communities at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at a session hosted by Rep. Mike Armanini (R-Elk/Clearfield).

Power customers in the City of DuBois have talked to Armanini about frequent electricity interruptions in the past couple years. Because of the ongoing issue, Armanini coordinated the meeting with Penelec, a FirstEnergy subsidiary, to give residents an opportunity to voice their concerns and hear about plans for improvements.

“I have heard the frustration from my constituents about the interruptions. I am hoping since the lines of communication have been open on both sides, we can resolve the issue,” Armanini said.

The meeting will be held in Treasure Lake’s Lakeview Lodge at 2871 Bay Road, DuBois. Pre-registration is not required.

Questions can be directed to Armanini’s office in Clearfield at 814-375-4688.
