ATV Grants to Support Trail Development, Armanini Says

HARRISBURG – Newly awarded state grants to support development of all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and snowmobile trails will be used for a pair of projects in the 75th House District, according to Rep. Mike Armanini (R-Elk/Clearfield).

Funding announced by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources includes:

• $290,300 for Elk County Riders to construct seven-tenths of a mile of an ATV trail from Washington Street to Mount Zion Road in Jay Township.
• $1 million for the Treasure Lake Property Owners Association to construct an ATV trailhead at the Treasure Lake Cayman Landing Campground in DuBois.

“There are so many ways to enjoy the great outdoors in Pennsylvania. Doing so from the back of an ATV or snowmobile is a popular method in our region,” Armanini said. “I commend the applicants for these projects on pursuing the state funding and encourage others to do so before Sept. 30.”
