Armanini Recognizes St Marys Swimmer
On Thursday, state Rep. Mike Armanini (R-Clearfield/Elk) presented a House citation to Madeline Lanzel of St. Marys, who recently won four state titles at the 2022 Pennsylvania State YMCA Championship in York as a member of the Ridgway YMCA Blue Tide.
“Maddie,” the daughter of Katie and Kevin Lanzel (pictured here), is in seventh grade at Elk County Catholic Middle School. Competing in the girls’ 11-12 division, she finished first in the 100-yard Individual Medley, 100-yard Butterfly, 100-yard Freestyle, and 50-yard Butterfly.
Maddie has been swimming for the Ridgway team since she was 5 years old.
